Sick of your GoPro HERO3+ or HERO4 Camera connecting to the computer as a 'Camera' vs. a drive?" Miss the old disk-drive method? Turned On by HYPOXIC's latest update forces the GoPro Camera into being a disk drive!  Update your Turned On install and it will automatically switch to "Disk Drive" mode. If you would like the "PTP / Camera Mode" just choose Advanced on the license screen.

How to Install a Turned On into a Plastic Helmet

Below is the recommended method for plastic helmet such as the Cookie G3, Phantom X, or K.I.S.S. We like this method since it allows for quick removal if you are jumping into the wind tunnel. To remove the GoPro / Turned On Combo, it's as easy as pulling out the top pad, and sliding the cable through the hole. GoProInfo Tool to extract GoPro Camera's Settings

Unfortunately there is no human readable settings information in the GoPro MP4 file.  However there are few bits that contain the camera's information. Hypoxic wrote a tool to extract the GoPro settings and the times of the highlight tags. This tool was made for the GoPro HERO4 but may work for older cameras.
